Monday Update

So here is the day rundown:
Andy & I stayed overnight again at the hospital. Andy did the 1 a.m. feed, and I took the 4 a.m. feed. We had to miss the 7 a.m. feed due to shift change. He did well eating for both of us. At 4 a.m. he had a normal green/yellow seedy poop. I know, I know, too much info right? Well, I was overjoyed. Seriously...could have saved it. When we went in at 9 a.m. he had another, and the nurse had saved the diaper for us to look at. YAY!
Met with the new attending Ped. She took him off the IV's and the vitals monitoring. NO MORE CORDS/TUBES of any kind. YAY again! His bacteria cultures were normal. He is now free to eat as much as the little guy wants. No problems at all polishing off 2 ounces.
Bilirubin was high, and they started phototherapy. He has the cutest little shades he gets to wear. Seriously, I can handle the yellow jaundice bit. He also had the CF test done, but apparently that takes a good week to get those results. Praying for negative!
This evening he had another bilirubin count, but it only SLIGHTLY came down, so they added a few more lamps to his "baking."
At his 7 p.m. feed he ate a bit more than 2 ounces, kept that down, and more poop. :)
He has another bili count at 8 tonight, so we'll see how that goes.
We are staying with Molly & Adam tonight. Molly cooked us some yummy lasagna, and we
will have a soft bed. The hospital has several patients coming in the morning, so we didn't want to tie up the room.
Tomorrow is Abbie's birthday. We miss Abbie & Will terribly. With any luck Ben's bili level will drop and we can come home.
Thanks again for all the prayers, kind words, messages, support, etc. We're thankful to have so many special people in our lives. Ben is one lucky man and can't wait to meet all of you!

Ah, all this talk about poo... Good to have things back to normal in the Wyatt world ;) On a serious note, it's good to hear that things are looking up for the little guy. You're all in my thoughts.
