Doctor, Doctor

I think this may have been Kadyn and Ben's version of playing doctor.
Or maybe she was just practicing being a mom.
She wiped his mouth and nose.

And gave his belly a wipe down too.
Ben was the perfect patient.
He laid totally still and let her take care of him.

Our Little Artist

Abbie won her first contest!
A coloring contest for both Kindergarten classes.
She won first place, which included $15 and a medal.
Unfortunately, we never got to see the picture.
And, unfortunately, the VFW spelled Kindergarten wrong.

Ruh-Roh Shaggy!

Can you guess why he's so excited?

He was so excited that he made cards to take.
He even made one from Ben.
Do you see "him" in the background?

Yep, that's right.
Scooby Doo!
He was at the Alton mall on April 9th so we headed over for a visit.
Memaw and Papaw & Nona & Nono joined us.

This is the only picture I got.
Paula has more so I'll have to try to get her memory card.
We put Ben in the picture too.
He was NOT a fan!
Will and Abbie enjoyed it.
Afterwards we went out to lunch with Memaw & Papaw, then they took the kids home with them for a sleepover.

This would also be a good time to document just how much Will loves Scooby Doo.
I'm pretty sure Papaw got him started on the show. He and Papaw watch it all the time when he visits.
Abbie & Will love catching reruns on Boomerang.
Will even has his own mystery gang.
It's him, Abbie, cousins; Josie, Emily, and Daniel, and Bubba (he finished our basement).
Often during the school year, Will would ask me to "call" his gang.
There were lots of mysteries.
Often there were "clues" in the bathroom. These clues were always paw prints.
I think we had a few moose mysteries downstairs.
Always entertaining....

Little Blessings Program

At the end of March, Will and his class played the bells at church.

It was serious business!
Will wouldn't even crack a smile.
He was too busy watching for his cue to ring.

Memaw and Ben made up for it with their smiles!

She's Special...

Because everyone does this with their grapes!
Yep, she's a special one!
'Nuff said!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

The pesky leprechauns visited Little Blessings preschool again this year.
They made quite the mess, turning over toys and leaving little green footprints all over the place.

After the class cleaned up, they went on a search for the leprechauns.
They had to quietly creep across the hall while holding their nose and an ear.

They didn't find the little guys.
There were footprints leading out an open window.
Looked like they escaped, but they left some hidden gold.

Will found his!

Will's class.

Cruising Down The Street...

Ben likes Will's birthday gift too!
He's pretty good about jumping in and convincing Will to give him a lift.

Ben even gets to control the radio!

The Goods

As usual, Will was spoiled with lots of gifts.

He got this cool superhero hat...
A few new batman action figures...

A new Spiderman movie...

He also got a Batman umbrella, Spiderman beach towel, superhero shirt and flip flops,
money, and I'm sure a few other things I'm forgetting.

His final gift was a brand new Ford F150!
Will was ready for a trade in.
The Harley has been handed down to Ben.
He loves his new "Monster Truck!"

Welcome to March!

Month of the Birthday Boy!!
4! He's 4!
I have no idea where my little boy went.
He's been replaced with a challenging and stubborn 4 year old.
He's easy to forgive though.
Always ready with a heartfelt apology and a good cuddle.

And he's also hit the "I no longer know how to smile at the camera" phase.
It's lovely!

It was a superhero birthday theme again.
This year he requested Batman and Robin on the cake.
Aunt Michele pulled through.
He picked out Iron Man tableware and a Spiderman balloon for a nice balanced dose of superheroes!

Wish big, buddy!

After we sang to Will and he blew out the candles,
it was Randy's turn since he also has a March birthday.
You can add another number after the 4 for Randy!!

Looks comfy?

Or not!
Surprisingly he did not end up getting "stuck."

The After Party

After bowling we headed over to have pizza and cake,
and celebrate the Bertels' January thru March birthdays.
Nothing like a pre-birthday!

He had yummy cake and opened gifts.

He and Grandma Bertels checked out his new books with 3D glasses.

Strike!

Not a strike, but the bumpers sure helped out.
At the end of February we had the Annual Bertels bowling bash.
This year Abbie & Will got in on the action.

Fake smiles all around!

My heart...

Pretty sure this little guy has my heart in the palm of his hand!
I can barely stand the cuteness!

Full Moon!

Well, it took awhile...
BUT...
Ben finally pooped in the bath tub.
Will was in the tub with him and FREAKED out!
Thank goodness for our Cookie Monster fish net.
Daddy fished it out and Ben watched it flush.
Good times!!
