Now on to Baby Diego.
I'm pretty sure I have mentioned before that Abbie wants to name her new brother Diego.
No, we aren't going to use this name. However, for lack of another name to refer to him as, this is the name I'll use.
On the 6th of this month we were able to have a 3D sonogram. They truly are amazing. I have been fortunate enough to have them done on all 3 kiddos. Diego was pretty actively talking, i.e. opening and shutting his mouth. He was also busy sucking, and even stuck his tongue out at us a few times. I guess I don't blame him. Who wants to be put on display naked and scrunched up in the womb! Anyway, all looks well. And, yes, still a boy. He was proud to show that off.
He is growing rapidly and as of right now is on track to be a bit of an above-average baby. Average being 7 lbs. Abbie was 6 lb 13oz. Will was 7 lb 1 oz. I am not looking forward to a big baby. At the checkup, Diego weighed an estimated 3 lb 7 oz. I was technically in my 29th week of pregnancy, but his measurements put me at an estimated 31 weeks. Perhaps this means I'll be done sooner. Abbie was only 2 days early, Will a week early.
My doctor has expressed some concern about me having too much bigger of a baby than what I've had. Something about me having trouble birthing the shoulders with Will. Yeah, I don't know. I wasn't down there obviously, so I'll go with what he says. I anticipate this means we will do more future sonograms as I progress to check on Diego's size.
Here's a 3D pic of Diego. Will loves to look at it on the fridge. Eggo's picture, he says. Cute!
The blurb in front of his face is part of his arm and hand. I'm not sure why I can't make the pic larger.
