Bowling Fun

A few weekends ago, Will had his first bowling experience at a fundraiser.
He loved it!
He bowled 2 games with the help of daddy.
His first bowling score?
89!
Hooray for bumpers!

A Few Things....

Before they escape my memory, here are a few cute things recently heard in the Manar home.

Will has a tiny mole on his belly. I love to tease him that it's dirt or chocolate, constantly trying to wipe it off. He thinks it's so funny! Our recent conversation:
M: "Oh, Will! What's on your belly? How did that chocolate get there?"
W: Giggles...."Mommy, that's not chocolate. It's a mole."
M: "How did it get there?"
W: Very matter-of-factly. "It came from the mult."
M: "Mult? What's Mult?"
W: "The stuff outside that daddy uses."
All laughs for me....he was referring to the mulch. Who knew that mulch causes moles?!?

Abbie was watching me put on make-up. While I put on my under eye concealer, we had this conversation:
A: "Mommy, why do you have to put that stuff on?"
M: "Because I'm old and it makes me look prettier."
A: "But you're not old. You don't even have bumpy hands yet. Meme (my grandma) has bumpy hands. But you don't. You're not old Mommy."

On to Abbie's name game....
You may remember she used to go by the name Sophie. Sophie, no longer.
Now she's Jessica. Or Cinderella. Cinderella I can explain. Jessica? She knows no Jessica's.
Interesting!

Story Time

Abbie loves to read to Ben.
Here's the latest Story Hour.
The book?
One Oogly Eye!

Abbie's Turn

Abbie reaped the benefits of Will's gift as well.
Though the intention was to keep them busy while I worked around the house, Abbie insisted on asking me to draw EVERYTHING on her. Of course then we had to snap pictures so they could see themselves.
Not to mention the multiple trips to stand in front of the mirror!
Great gift Aunt Katy!

Tattoo Artist....Take 2!

You may remember back last Spring when Will decided to "tattoo" himself with markers?
Aunt Katy remembered, and for Christmas got him body crayons and a cool book of doodles to try on yourself.
Will really wasn't into creating any certain masterpiece.
He just went crazy scribbling all over himself.
What better way to spend a cold January day?
I must say this product is mom endorsed by me.
They glide on really easily, and clean up was as simple as a bath.

Miss Abbie

Abbie has the FINEST hair.
It will NOT hold curl!
We put rollers in after the bath, no luck.
Curling iron, ton of hairspray, no luck.
But on this day, we got a few good curls before school.
Of course we had to capture it on camera as proof that it is possible.
I will also note that she loves this new dress, new tights, and new boots combo.
Andy is not a fan.
My dad calls it her Stevie Nicks look.
I just think she's cute....
and growing way too fast!

The End...

A few last pics.
Andy checking out his "new" old postcards to add to his collection.
And then there's the Turbo Snake.
Seriously it works wonders.
Our bathroom sink was clogged, with my hair of course, and nothing was working.
Our friends Molly & Adam were over and Molly just happened to have her mom's Turbo Snake for them to try.
We gave it a go, and the drain has been perfect since.
Now we have our own! The joys of growing old!
Not to worry, he scored a new I-pod too, so he did get some fun presents.
Oh, and the Snuggie! My dad got one for my mom. As if they aren't bad enough, he purchased the leopard print.
Drew decided to model it for us!
The picture of my sister....I have no clue.
Not sure what she's showing me, but I thought the picture was funny.
Merry Christmas.
The End.

Silly Town

This picture is note-worthy because it is a gift Abbie picked out for Ben.
Before Christmas, my mom was asking Abbie what she, Will, and Ben wanted for Christmas.
She told mom that Ben wanted Silly Town.
Mom asked me what it was. I had no clue.
She said she saw it on a commercial and she thought Ben would like it.
We looked it up online. Sure enough, it existed!
Mom took Abbie's suggestion seriously, and now Ben has his very own Silly Town!

Abbie's Loot

Abbie made out well too!
She got Little Pet Shop stuff, Barbies, Barbie clothes, Leap Frog Tag, clothes, and more dolls.

Here he is!

Hip, Hip Hooray!
The Super Readers save the day!
As I've mentioned before, Super Why is a show we watch on PBS.
Abbie & Will love to play their own version.
Usually Will runs around with a hooded swim wrap on or a clipped blanket as his cape.
Now he has the real deal!
He loved it!
He spent so much time checking out his wand that is complete with 10 phrases from the show.
Then he was off flying!

Tearin' It Up!

A few shots of Will opening gifts.
He got lots of great stuff....John Deere tractors and sweatshirts, a tool bench, LOTS of tools,
some cool Nike & Adidas outfits, and then there was the favorite gift of the night....
His very own authentic Super Why costume.
More of those pics coming up!

So Far Behind!

Ahhh.....I know, I know!
I am WAY behind on the blog.
These next several posts will wrap up the remaining Christmas shots.
Here is a summary of Christmas with the Jones Family.
Little Benny didn't care much about opening his gifts, but he sure enjoyed being loved on!

But wait...there's more!

Drew & I got in on the fun too!
I think we'll stick with our natural styles!

Snow White

Poor, poor Ben!
Abbie got a Snow White wig from Grandma Betsy.
We decided it would be fun to try it on Ben.
Doesn't he look like a little Cabbage Patch doll?
And not to be left out, little Mya got in on the fun too!
