I really am mad at our camera.
I got rid of my little, nothing special digital camera.
Andy bought a camera with entirely too many settings, zooms, and whatever else is on there.
I am not a fan of technology.
So, for some reason our camera will not take a picture. Like I push the button and nothing happens. UGH!
I want my simple little camera back! I need to put up new belly pics.
I need to get Valentine pictures taken for our cards.
I have missed some good photo ops: Abbie & Will in bed together reading, Abbie & Will dressed in their winter snow outfits, Abbie & Will in the snow, their snowman, Will asleep on the rug with Stripey--in front of the stove, Abbie dressed in my sweater with her own underwear on her head---strange, but cute in a bohemian sort of way.
Help, someone! Nikki--I think you have the same camera. Any advice?
In other news, we are at my parents tonight for my dad's birthday (and because Andy won't be home tonight). Abbie & Will colored Papaw Scooby Doo pictures for his cards. They love to watch Scooby Doo with Papaw.
On the way to their house Abbie decided she needed to get Papaw a present. I had a hard time explaining we were just giving him money to use for whatever, his Harley I'm sure.
She was relentless.
"Okay, what do you want to get him."
The final answer...."new socks."
Alright, we can do that.
"Oh, no Mommy. We forgot to make him a cake!"
A quick stop at Walmart and we have socks. And a cake. Done! She's happy now, the show can go on!
Abbie has really been into teaching her pretend "class."
These are her lesson plans:
We are in the year 2009.
The Miracles of Jesus. In particular, the turning of water to wine.
A LOT of reading to the class.
She is also mastering her County and Country where she lives, in addition to her city and state along with the cities of her relatives.
Will still insists that everything is first orange, and then yellow. Just can't get those colors down. He likes to count, but typically skips numbers. 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 10....YAY...with clapping.
Alphabet song on occasion, or with Abbie.
Singing bits of Wizard of Oz, Scooby Doo theme song, and Ariel when she sings and loses her voice to Ursula. Sometimes he just sings Ariel's name.
Will is also convinced that his brother is in his belly now. Right inside his belly button. If only he could give birth!
