Recital Time

Starting in January, Abbie took dance lessons.
She had tap and jazz.
On May 24, 2011 she had her first recital.


Abbie has super fine hair.
She kept rollers in all day, but when we took them out, she had nothing! Nil, Nada, NOT A CURL!
I frantically called my friend Whitney, who has much more patience with hair than I do, and she came to the rescue!

With lots and LOTS of hairspray, she was able to accomplish this.
The girls in her number were supposed to have a ponytail with curls.
I'm happy to report (for all Whitney's hard work) that Abbie's held the best!

One of the fun parts for her was getting to wear makeup.
One of the scary parts for me, was that her make up was minimal compared to the other girls.
YIKES! It was almost a Toddler and Tiaras gone bad recital!

This was her favorite and she did really well!
Honestly (and I'm not just saying this) she did the best out of her group.
I'll have to see if Papaw can send me the video.
And for further proof, she was asked by her instructor to try out for the Dazzlers.
The Dazzlers are a select dance team.
We passed on it this year. I wasn't ready to shell out that kind of time and money, and MAKE-UP!
