Introducing...

Our very own Elf on the Shelf.
Here he is in his first official hiding place following his first night of reporting to Santa.

Here let's get a little closer....

There he is!
Meet Rex!
If you haven't heard of The Elf on the Shelf, you really must check it out.
The idea is the elf comes to your home, you name him, and his job is to keep an eye on the good and not so good things the kids do.
Every night he flies to the North Pole and reports to Santa.
When he comes home he hides in a new spot and must be found each morning.
No one is allowed to touch him in fear he might lose his magic powers.
Abbie has one in her classroom and is always talking about him. His name is Curly-Q.
Rex came to us last night straight from the North Pole.
We came home from a busy day and there he was, sitting on the kids table along with his book!
Abbie was beyond excited!
She could barely slow down enough to explain to us and Will what it was.
Don't you love the magic of the season?
