1 year, 3 year, and 5 year stats

On May 5th, Abbie's birthday, Ben and Will had their 1 and 3 year check ups. We dropped Abbie off at preschool and were on our way. Abbie's teacher gave me a hard time for missing Abbie's birthday at school. Not to worry though, we made it back in time to go for a walk with the class.
Ben's 1 year appointment went just fine. He weighed 23 lbs 4 oz (50th percentile), 30 1/2 inches (75th %), and his head was 48.5 cm (95th%).
At 1 year, here were Abbie's measurements: 19 lbs 4 oz (10-25th %), 29 inches (50th %), 46.5 cm (75th-90th %).
Will's 1 year measurements: 23.8 lbs (50th), 29 1/2 (50th) and 48 cm (90th).
At this appointment I discussed with the pediatrician that Ben would not eat solid foods and that he sometimes choked on slightly chunky purees. She was not worried at that time and told me to just keep trying. She also reminded me that I shouldn't compare him to Abbie & Will, and that it was perfectly normal that he wasn't yet walking. Otherwise, the little guy got his shots like a champ and it was Will's turn.

Will's 3 year appointment was also a physical for the upcoming Pre-K year. He had 1 shot that he missed at his 2 year appointment because they were out at that time. I had not prepared him for this and it wasn't pretty. On the way out of the doctor office, he asked me why I did that to him. He also told me he didn't love me anymore. No worries, he went back to loving me again later that night.
Here are his 3 year stats: 33 lbs and 37 3/4 inches.

A week later, Abbie went for her 5 year check up and her kindergarten physical. We had prepared her for the upcoming shots. Andy & I anticipated problems, so he took the day off and we made it a family affair. Surprisingly she did really well! I think she did so well because she knew she couldn't go to kindergarten until she had her shots.
Here are her 5 year stats: 33 lbs and 39 3/4 inches. Yes, she's just about the same size as her younger brother!

We survived all the check ups, the shots, urine samples, and the lobby room waiting. Everyone is healthy and we couldn't be more thankful!

Ahhh...glad to see Will is learning emotional blackmail early in life. He says some funny stuff. I'm glad he loves you again ; )
